Around my House

I find that restraints sometimes make you more creative. I'm putting a restraint on this photo blog: only pictures of things around my house. Let's see what I can come up with!

Say "Ah"

This reminds me of someone sticking out their tongue. I don't know what kind of flower this is (let me know if you do), but it is in the back yard in one of my overgrown weed patches.

One of the past owners of my house did some great gardening; we get flowers popping up all throughout the spring and summer. Problem is, I'm not so good at keeping up with them, so I'm sure the yard looks nothing like it used to.

Since I am not currently at my house, this is going to be an exception... "Around my Hotel Room!" Since we don't have a spectacular view of the skyline or anything cool like that, I thought I'd make due with this - the air conditioner outside our window. :-) I think it fits in with the point of this blog: extending creativity! Posted by Picasa

Play!

Buddy's favorite item to play with. It works out well, because I also love to play frisbee (could there be something to that?)

Photographically, I like how the dog is posed, with his eyes hitting just about the lower third. He does have a very ferocious, yet playful look in his eyes.

For yet another post I was playing around with some Photoshop techniques for the edges... Thank you Photoshop TV!

Around My House #3

Springy Lamp

A good portion of my posts will probably be abstract. Here is a good example. This is part of one of the lamps in my living room. I'm going to try to get several postings this week to kick things off. After that I'm going to aim for about a post a week.

Magnolia Bloom

For one week a year this tree justifies its existance. It is a nice tree for shade, but its location could be better - it is a bit too close to the house. It would be gone if it weren't for this one week or so when it blooms.

Pictures to Come

Starting a photo blog. Hey, its the popular thing to do! Maybe I can do it weekly, who knows.
